VINPAKET RHONE (+90 PARKER)
Three of wine connoisseur Robert Parker's favourites from the Rhône wine region in Southern France.
SAINT-JOSEPH - LAUTARET 2016 - DOMAINE DURAND FRERES
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:"93 Points! From 30-year-old vines and aged in 20% new barriques, the 2015 Saint Joseph Lautaret features scents of crushed stone and ripe cassis. It’s medium to full-bodied, with supple tannins and ample concentration, yet remains fruit-driven, with impressive intensity and length."
CHATEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE 2015 - DOMAINE CHANTE CIGALE
Robert Parker 94 Points: "One surprise to emerge from this blind tasting was the super performance of Chante Cigale's 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape. This full-bodied blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault boasts wonderfully supple, creamy tannins, raspberry and cherry fruit, and a dusting of cinnamon and allspice on the long, dusty finish. Bravo!"
CROZES-HERMITAGE - LES PICHERES 2015 - FERRATON PÈRE & FILS (BIO)
Since its first release the Crozes-Hermitages Pichères of the 'Maison Ferraton' has seduced the critics. This 100% organic wine is a real success story. Gourmand, voluminous and fruity, with notes of blackcurrant and ripe berries highlighted by notes of pepper. Robert Parker has said that this wine is the perfect proof that the year 2015 has produced a truly great vintage in the north of the Rhône region in France. 93 Points
